Soy Frida,
I was born in San Miguel, El Salvador, during the civil war. I grew up under my grandmother’s care. Later, I joined my mother in Houston, Texas. My journey taught me resilience and the importance of community, values that inspire my work every day.
I am a bilingual marketing and communications leader. I’ve had the privilege of serving my community through roles in media. I’ve also worked in nonprofits and government. I mentor Latino students. I manage communications during crises like Hurricane Harvey. My mission is to create meaningful connections and drive change. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my son, running, blogging or volunteering. I love spending time with my family and friends. I also plan my next project to give back to the community that shaped me.
